Meet The Artist

Hi, I'm Alexa — the artist behind Joyful Brush.
I've loved creating for as long as I can remember. I first started taking photos because I wanted to capture and remember every moment. While photography still holds a special place in my heart, painting taught me something different: how to truly slow down.
I discovered painting during a very isolated and difficult period in my life. It became more than just a creative outlet, it gave me peace, a sense of escape, and a reminder of my own worth when I felt like I had none. Over time, it continued into the brighter days, grounding me and teaching me stillness in a house full of motion and noise.
I'm a full-time working mom, and family is at the center of everything I do; from hosting gatherings to being a steady presence for my children. Painting is the space I intentionally make for myself, where I can slow down, focus on the present, and create something that brings joy.
I'm drawn to landscapes, glowing sunsets, still lakes, distant mountains, because they feel like a gentle pause in a fast moving world. Each piece I create is hand painted and one of a kind. My hope is that when you bring one into your home, it becomes a window to calm and a reminder that beauty and stillness are always within reach.
Thank you for supporting my art and the dream I'm building.
I'm glad you're here!
